Mt Perry township is located approx 100 kms west of Bundaberg. This represents about a 4 1/2 hr drive from North Brisbane or Ipswich, or 3 1/2hrs from Rockhampton.

There are a number of ways to travel to Mt Perry and the interactive website www.whereis.com.au can help you find the best way for you.
The way to Mt Perry is very well signed from Gin Gin or Ban Ban Springs depending on your intended route. The turn off heading WEST beyond Ban Ban Springs (TOWARDS GAYNDAH) has a large green road sign. Please note: 34km of good dirt/gravel roads this way.

Wolca Reserve (where the race is held) is situated just 6 kilometres north of the Mt Perry Township on the corner of Gin Gin - Mount Perry Rd and Bania Rd.
Mt Perry township has a small general store, pub, and fuel supplies. Nearby Gin Gin has just about anything else you might need.

CLIMATE CONDITIONS:

Wolca Reserve is situated in a valley that sees early sunsets at this time of the year with potential frosts on June mornings. The days are mild, however, strong Westerley (cool) winds often blow across the ridge tops of Fat Cow Highway and the far reaches of the course.
