6 HOUR GOLD RUSH RACE CATEGORIES

Serious racers will be fighting it out for $15,000 cash and prizes and can decide to enter the 2010 6 Hour Gold Rush as:

Solo:
Tackle the course alone for the ultimate challenge against body and mind.
Due to popular demand we will also be offering more solo categories in 2010:

ELITE Solo Male
ELITE Solo Female

Still plenty of cold hard cash on offer for all solo podium places. Age group solo cash pool = $2400

Pairs:
Race head to head with other pairs in one of the many 2 person categories.
There will be 3 categories in the pairs:
Male Pairs
Female Pairs
Mixed Pairs

All pairs categories will be racing for cash and prizes.

Rule for mixed pairs: Each rider must complete half (+/- 1 lap) of the total laps, otherwise the pair will be considered a single gender pair.

Triples:
3 person teams are strictly social. Any combination of males/females is eligible to enter with the focus on challenging yourself and having fun. The triples will be competing for a whole swag of prizes. (Age 14+ Only)

Kids Gold Rush Enduro:
2010 will see the kids categories racing as individuals in Under 10 and Under 14 age groups. These junior races will be held over 1 and 3 laps (respectively) of a shorter 3km version of the full size circuit as a Sunday morning curtain-raiser to the adult categories. Great for those too young for the 6 Hour or those new to mountain biking.

NOTE: 14-16 year olds are eligible to race in a 2-3 person teams for the 6 Hour Gold Rush

NOVICE XC (SATURDAY AFTERNOON) - 3 laps of 3 kilometre course. REGISTER ON THE DAY!!!

SATURDAY EVENING SHORT COURSE XC DIRT DASH

What better way to occupy your Saturday afternoon/evening than with some short course XC races held on a 1km circuit on the fringe of the reserve. These elimination style races will be very short and very fast with the top finishers from each race progressing to the next round in their category. Both racers and spectators will be treated to an absolute spectacle with final rounds being held after dark (6pm). The 2010 Dirt Dash race format will be a little different to last year, but the common elements will remain: bar to bar, high intensity action!
It is certain to be a hoot.

MONDAY MORNING COUNTRYSIDE CRUISE

What better way to wind down after a top weekend of racing than with a scenic social cruise from Wolca Reserve to some of the most interesting features of the local Bicentennial National Trail. We will be making a stop over at the Mount Perry Grand Hotel for a quick bite and a drink near the end of the cruise for a great early lunch and a cold beverage (Included in the nomination fee) before returning to Wolca Reserve. An absolute must for anyone socially minded! Please note: this ride is not an MTBA sanctioned event, therefore no day licences will be required and all riders will be asked to sign an additional indemnity release & waiver.

ENTRY FEE - $29 (Includes drink and lunch)

6Hr Gold Rush Conditions of Entry

• Every rider must complete an individual entry form
• All riders entering in Adult Categories MUST have an MTBA licence OR purchase MTBA day licence
• Categories with < 10 riders may be amalgamated
• Age groups determined by age at 13/06/2010
• Close of Entries EXTENDED: 5pm Tuesday 1 June 2010
• Payments after close of entries OR category changes will incur a $20 administration fee
